For those who are interested in this effort, we’d like to remind you that you do not need to participate in the auction to support this cause. Your presence at the launch and/or your donations to Feed the Children, using the provided link or any other, will contribute greatly to this initiative’s success. Success doesn't happen without you!
If you would rather just get to the nitty gritty and skip some of the narrative below (you don't want to miss John Ricketts' video at the bottom though), here are the relevant links to all things related to the Art Auction to Alleviate Hunger and the donation campaign to benefit Feed the Children:

The Narrative:
Athletes and sports fans probably understand the concept of “crunch time” as well as anyone might. Well, it is crunch time for the Art Auction to Alleviate Hunger, launching on Zoom (and streamed live on Facebook) this Saturday, December 3, at 2pm EST US, and running through December 17, at 2pm EST US.
Thus far we’ve introduced you to the poets and artists whose creative work made this auction possible, and the others who are making special appearances to support the cause. Tomorrow, we will introduce you to the primary organizers of the auction (Poetry X Hunger founder Hiram Larew and The Poartry Project founder JC Wayne), and during the launch on Saturday, we’ll introduce you to Better World, the platform which “helps nonprofits raise money online in less time.”
Today, it seems appropriate to introduce you to the focal point of this historic event, Feed the Children- the organization to which all proceeds of the auction will be disbursed. As hopeful as we are that the poetic and artistic community will lend their support to the auction effort, the point really is to raise funds for Feed the Children and to demonstrate yet another way that the power of art and poetry can do good in our world.
We are grateful that members of the Feed the Children team have done all they can to assist this effort and today, we’d like to introduce you to one of the key members of that team. Below is a short message from John Ricketts, Director of Program impact and Disaster Services for Feed the Children.
We hope to see you on Saturday, but if not, we hope you'll do what you can to support the critical efforts of Feed the Children! Till next...T. A.
